Freelance Flash Developer/Programmer
A Flash Developer/Programmer builds multimedia elements, flash applications and flash animations for our clients, performs project coding as assigned, tests, and debugs, and documents work as performed on moderately complex projects. The Flash Developer/Programmer may be responsible for training, work quality, job performance and adherence to company procedures and processes of lower level programmers assigned to the respective team. A Flash Developer/Programmer will assist in preparing specifications and design documents of web applications, will analyze user specifications and requirements, will provide daily progress reports, and will complete all tasks as may be assigned from time to time in a professional manner.
Qualifications
Required
- Experience with Flash programming in ActionScript 3
- Experience developing web-based applications in ASP.NET and a good familiarity with CSS and developing in HTML, Classic ASP, JavaScript, C#
- Experience developing database solutions using SQL Server, including table design and stored procedures
- Experience in web page layout
- Ability to learn and implement new designs, techniques, and languages
- Ability to work in a team environment and follow detailed instructions
- 2-4 years relevant professional experience or equivalent education
Recommended (to be developed if currently not within employee’s skills)
- Experience developing ASP pages with VBScript
- Experience with Flash programming for kiosks
- Familiarity with other web development languages such as Perl or PHP
- Knowledge of Microsoft IIS Administration and Microsoft SQL Server Administration
- Experience with object-oriented application design
- Experience in design and implementation of user interfaces for multimedia applications
- Experience with T-SQL and SQL Server Administration a plus
- Experience with Adobe Director a plus
Responsibilities
The Flash Developer/Programmer is responsible for moderate to complex web application design and implementation. The Flash Developer/Programmer will work with the team to conceptualize, develop and build Flash applications that meet company and client expectations and overall project goals, will work in a small team, under a project leader, designing and implementing solutions.
All production employees, including the Flash Developer/Programmer, are responsible for daily production/time reports and the clear and timely communication of issues that may prevent completion of a project as scheduled. Programmers working under the supervision of a team leader and/or Producer will insure that these individuals are apprised of progress (or lack of) for all assigned work. All work is to be conducted in a professional, business-like manner. The client’s assigned Producer manager will approve all communications with clients. Production staff are an integral part of the successful, timely completion of any assigned project and will perform work to ensure that Aristotle, Inc.’s best interests are met as directed by Aristotle’s Chief Executive Officer.
